Hi, I ran the Lichfield Half today and I just wanted to say well done and thank you for a well organised event. Route was a bit more undulating than I was expecting but it was scenic and the support locally was fantastic and much appreciated. Marshalls were brilliant also. Please pass on my thanks to all involved. You could teach Birmingham Half organisers a thing or two!  Be back next year, well done!  Debbie B. 1st May 2011

Had an absolutely fantastic time running the Half Marathon, great course, fantastic weather and very professional supervision. Good to see people lining the route to encourage us and there was a nice atmosphere at the finish line. Have participated in both your Santa Run and Xtreme 10k, will be entering more events soon! I ran my first Half Marathon in Lichfield today and I’m so impressed with the organisation and running of the event. Well done to everybody involved. I took part in the Lichfield Half Marathon today and just wanted to say thank you for a well organised event. The route was a little more undulating than I was expecting but it was scenic and the support along the way was much appreciated, as was the water soaked sponge! Marshalls were very good too. Fantastic event – I have completed c. 20 half marathons and this was the best mix of excellent marshalling and water/feed stops alongside a challenging but picturesque course. I was surprised at the number of people at the finish line which was a welcome boost after all the work. Managed a PB so had a great day. Well done to the team who organised the event. Hi, I ran the Lichfield Half on Sunday and wanted to say well done to all involved, good undulating course in great countryside. The marshalling was good and the sponges and water were much needed. Perhaps need to think about the start if numbers grow and a bit of signage around the town as nobody in Lichfield knew it was on and spectators struggled to find the finish. Thank you to all those who made the Lichfield half marathon so enjoyable. It was my second half marathon, the first was the Reading half in March this year, and it was an infinitely more pretty and enjoyable route!! The marshalls were absolutely fabulous and gave us much needed encouragement as we went around – I’m not sure we’d have got round without their support and the cheers from local residents. I took part in the Lichfield half and was very impressed with the overall organisation, Well done The route was perfect apart from the last mile which had too many hills making the finish quite a struggle; any chance of a re think for next year? It was a fantastic event. I think you need to draw more people’s attention to it – particularly in Lichfield City Centre – as I heard people wondering aloud why I was in running gear with a medal (I told a couple of them). It could end up being a big event on the Lichfield social calendar, maybe with food stalls, other entertainment, etc – to make it a big day out.
