ALL RUNNERS THAT HAVE ENTERED THE WORLDS SHORTEST FUN RUN AFTER THE 5TH SEPTEMBER WILL BE REQUIRED TO COLLECT THEIR RACE NUMBER ON SUNDAY FROM 12.30 ONWARDS

KP Events and their partners Burntwood Town Council are please to announce the 3rd staging of the World’s Shortest Fun Run on Sunday September 9th round the UK’s Smallest Park, Princes Park in Burntwood.

Previously held in 2013 and 2016, this a unique event that really does appeal to everybody of any ability, the youngest ‘runner’ was 3 months and the least youngest 93 at previous events.

All profits will be donated to Burntwood Town Council’s Charity for 2018.

It will take around 55 strides to get around Princes Park in approximately 25 seconds. Everyone who takes part could potentially be a world record holder! Medals to all finishers.

PARKING

People attending by car can park for free in the car park of St Matthews Sport and Social Club in St Matthews Rd only, 100 yards from Princes Park. A big thank you to Rob and Sharon for their kind support.

KP Events will be contacting the Guinness Book of Records to seek recognition once more as it being the World’s Shortest Fun Run. ADDITIONAL RUNNERS INFORMATION

Princess Park is located in Burntwood, which is in the district of Lichfield, and is 3.8 miles from Lichfield city centre. From Lichfield, take the Friary rd towards the bowling green island, taking the third exit off the island on to the A461 Walsall road, at the next island take the second exit, the A5190 Lichfield road towards Burntwood, after approx 1.4 miles along this road, take a right turn on to Woodhouse Lane, follow this road until you reach the junction with St Matthews Rd, then turn left, and follow this road until you see St Mathew’s Sports and Social Club, this is our car park for the event. Which is less than 100 yards from the race start. Post Code for sat nav is WS7 9EP

RACE NUMBERS

Please remember to bring your race number with you, and attach it to the front of your running top at the four corners with safety pins. We DO NOT require these to be returned after the race, but if they are lost before the event and need to be replaced, then a £2.00 administration fee will apply.

ON THE DAY:

What to Bring: Please wear appropriate clothing & footwear for the event. Start Time: This will depend on your race number! The first runners will start at 12:30pm prompt. Please aim
to arrive no later than 15 minutes before your start time. (If your race number is 1-60 please aim to arrive between 12.15-12.25)

Start Area: Look out for our signs
Route: Once Clockwise around Princes Park, approx 55 strides.
Registration: There is no need to register on arrival at the event, but there will be a Registration desk to handle any queries or last minute registrations on the day.
Facilities: Toilets and catering facilities will be available in the church hall. Only use these toilets and urinals, and respect private land and property.
Medals & Prizes: All runners will receive a memento of the event.
Results: We will not be publishing results for this event, but there will be a large race clock for you to see your finish time as you cross the finish line.

RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS:

1. By registering to take part, all participants confirm that they agree for any footage or photographs taken during the event to be used to publicise future KP events.
2. By registering to take part, participants are declaring themselves physically able to participate in the event. Any participant unsure of their physical ability to take part should take medical advice from a general practitioner prior to the event.
3. All participants enter this event entirely at their own risk; KP Events shall not be liable for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of their participation, except as a result of KP Events negligence.
4. We can take no responsibility for under 18s on the day. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
5. In the case of emergency KP Events may use the details provided by you to contact your home or family. Please give way to vehicles and be courteous to local residents.
