The NovaPED Running Insole
Almost every runner has experienced the disappointment of being injured. Every time the foot strikes the ground, forces equivalent to five times body weight are transmitted through the feet, up the legs and into the lower back. These forces can cause aches and pains in the legs and feet. NovaPed running insoles can be used to protect and cushion the feet.
NovaPED Running Insole features
- Shock absorption
- Heel cup
- Metatarsal pad
- Shank stiffener
- Medial longitudinal arch support
- Pressure cushions to protect the feet
NovaPED Running Insole benefits
- Support and cushion the feet while running
- Fit neatly into the running shoe
- Attenuate forces under the feet during running
- Protect the feet by reducing the friction between the feet and the shoe
- Support the metatarsal bones and spread weight more evenly across the ball of the foot during running
- Support the medial longitudinal arch of the foot, reducing the strain in the muscles in the front and back of the legs
- Protect the feet from the pressure points under the ball of the foot and especially the big toe
When to use NovaPED Running Insoles
A large number of people suffer from foot problems associated with running. These include heel pain, plantar fasciitis and metatalsalgia. Poor foot posture can cause or contribute to these problems.
NovaPED Running Insoles can be used to:
- Treat painful corns and hard skin
- Protect the bottom of the foot from friction and pressure
- Spread weight more evenly across the bottom of the foot
- Improve foot posture and help treat heel pain, arch pain and forefoot pain

Hydrocolloid: An introduction
A hydrocolloid is composed of materials that display fundamentally different characteristics, making it an exceptional skin contact adhesive for use in many different circumstances.
The hydrocolloid is a pressure-sensitive adhesive, where a small amount of force placing the inherently tacky product on the skin gives an immediate adhesion that builds in strength over time. Hydrocolloids are well known for their capability to absorb large amounts of fluid while maintaining a cohesive structure and adhesive bond to the skin.
They can be worn in highly humid conditions where, in fact, they benefit from absorbing a small amount of fluid either from the air or the skin. This helps some components of the adhesive to give an even stronger bond. The adhesive will also absorb large amounts of localised fluid, for instance from a blister.
This kind of elastomeric adhesive also displays excellent resistance to creep and shear, demonstrating its high viscoelastic components.
Instructions for use

- Remove the backing film with the help of the tab
