Event – Tamworth 10k – Sunday 7th October 2018

The Tamworth 10k is on Sunday 7th October 2018 and will start and finish in the beautiful grounds surrounding Tamworth Castle and will wind its way through the grounds and out into the town, then follow a canal section in Fazeley, before returning to the Castle Grounds. The Tamworth 10k was voted 4th best 10k in the UK by Runners World in 2013 as it’s scenic but mainly flat 5k loop course takes in some of the town’s best scenery with its start and finish set in the popular Castle Grounds leisure facility with its gardens, sports amenities, walkways and cafe.

Cancellation – RUN, HEIFER, RUN! SUTTON PARK – 12th Aug 2018

It is with much regret that KP Events have to inform you that Run, Heifer, Run! have made the decision to cancel the UK Events planned for the Summer of 2018. This is not a decision that has been taken lightly, and is due to unforeseen circumstance. KP Events and Run, Heifer, Run! Hope to work together again in the near future.

In line with KP Events terms & Conditions, you will be issued with a full refund in the next few days. This will be done through Regevent online entry system, and KP Events administration team. Payment will be retuned to the account or card that you paid with. KP Events administration team will only be in touch again if there are any issues with your refund.

Again KP Events would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused, and hope to see you at another one on their races.

MISSEN MANAGES FRADLEY TRIUMPH

Birchfield Harrier Matthew Missen won in an exciting finish to the Fradley 10k today (Sunday March 11th). Another big turn out for the region’s first major 10k of the running season saw Missen lead early on in a small group containing Hatton Dart’s Ashley Hurdman the 2017 Fradley10k winner and Lee Gratton and the three fought it out all the way round the flat fast route for Missen to break away and win in 33:07 followed closely by Hurdman in second 33:26 and Gratton a close third in 33:33.

First female Home was Higham Harriers’ Rachel Doherty in 37:43 with Jessie Lutwyche second in 38:31 and Birchfield Harrier Elizabeth Watters third in 40:15.

The Florette Fradley 10K is a popular run and attracts around 1,000 entrants each year. Covering flat, country roads, its a great event for beginners and pros alike. The Fradley 10k has previously been nominated in the national Running Awards for the Best 10k Race for personal best times.

FORSYTH FORCES THE PACE TO TAKE TAMWORTH 10k TITLE

Wolverhampton and Bilston AC’s Steve Forsyth took an early lead and never looked like losing it to see off a record field of over 600 at the TCR Tamworth 10k October 8th to finish first in a time of 35:51. Robert Dijyak was a close second in 35:58 with Jason Malloy third in 36:15. First female athlete home was Emma Puck in 43:08 with Nuneaton Harrier Jo Grant second in 43:21 and Suzanne Coombes third in 44:21. A full set of results can found on STUWEB

Results – Florette Fradley 10k 12th March 2017

HURDMAN TAKES FRADLEY TITLE

Hatton Darts flyer Ashley Hurdman took on a 1000 runners and breezed to take the title as winner of the Florette Fradley 10k on Sunday March 12th on a day that was dry, windless and a perfect temperature and came home in a time of 33:40.

Tipton Harrier and KP Events own ambassador Phil Clamp raced home in 2nd place in a creditable 34:21 with Daniel King of Wye Valley Runners in 34:42. First female athlete home was Veleska Wills of Derby AC in a fast 36:15 ( and finishing 9th overall) with Sarah Harris of Heanor RC second in 36:48 and Rachel Olivant third in 37.55.
