The Florette Fradley 10K is a popular run and attracts around 1,000 entrants each year. Covering flat, tarmac country roads, it’s a great event for beginners and pros alike. The Fradley 10k has previously been nominated in the National Running Awards for the best 10k race for personal best times.

On your marks, get ready for some Winter fun! A festive 2.5km fun run around the beautiful city of Lichfield Staffordshire in aid of the Sebbie Hall Kindness Foundation.
Every Runner will receive a Santa hat, and a festive medal on completion. Chocolate treats for the children.
Fancy dress encouraged. All we ask is you bring an item for the Lichfield Foodbank, it’s a family-friendly event with plenty of fun and kindness to go around.

Thank you to all who took part and what a great morning, and wonderful weather. Local athlete Marcin Rydzewski from Tamworth AC won the Tamworth 10k in near perfect sunny autumnal running conditions, winning in a fast time of 35:13 and followed closely home in second by Mara Run Club Founder and Coach, George Bettany in a time of 35:33. Third home was Richard Coleman in 36:29.
First female home was Laura Dutton of Run 4U in a time of 39:36. Second female athlete home was Rebecca Harrison of City of Stoke A/C in 40:52. and third female home was Catherine Glover in 43:07.

This year’s Tamworth 10k will be held on the Sunday the 27th Oct 2024 and will start and finish in the beautiful grounds surrounding Tamworth Castle and will wind its way through the grounds and out into the town, then follow a canal section in Fazeley, before returning to the Castle Grounds.

After a wet start to the morning for our 25th anniversary race (first held in 1999), we saw a fabulous turn out for this ever popular 10k road race. It was lovely to see great spectator numbers from friends, family and villagers alike.
We were blessed with sunshine as the winner and 1st Male, Peter Ball of Bromsgrove & Redditch AC crossed the finish line in a time of 34.14, closely followed by Billy Barrett of Rugeley runners in 2nd place, and Robert Meredith in 3rd place with a time of 34.45
The first female across the line was Tamara Freeman also from Bromsgrove & Redditch AC in a time of 37.27 and with an overall finish position of 16th, next was Elizabeth Watters of Birchfield Harriers in 39.33, and in 3rd place was Olivia Harris of Royal Sutton Colfield AC 40.41
