New KP Events Ambassador – Meghan Beesley

kpmeghanGB international 400m hurdler Meghan Beesley will become a KP Events Ambassador in Olympic Year 2016.

Megan is a GB number 2 to Perri Shakes-Drayton and ran in World Championships in Beijing this year.

We’re very pleased to have Meghan Beesley as an Ambassador and she’ll make personal appearances at 3 of our events in 2016 starting off with the Tamworth 10k in October 2015 where she presented prizes.

FLETCHER HAS THAT FRADLEY FEELING

The Spring sun shone brightly at the Florette Fradley 10k and record crowds as well as a bumper field took to the streets of Fradley Village North of Lichfield to make the day special for all who turned out to watch or run.

The race was won by James Fletcher (Notts AC) in 34:32 with one time previous winner Phil Clamp (Tipton Harriers) in second in 35:05 and Chris Neil (Barrow Runners) third in 35:17.

First female athlete home was Rachel Olivant (Derby RC) with Sarah Dauncey from the local Lichfield RC second (39:01) and Kelly Weall (Notts AC) third (39:58).

Niki Webster, Marketing Manager at Florette, comments: “Once again Florette has been proud to sponsor this feel good event which never fails to deliver a fun atmosphere for the local community. There was a real buzz around the course this year and we’d like to congratulate everyone who took part and made this year’s event bigger and better than ever.”

Results – Xtreme Challenge 7th Feb 2016

The 5th Xtreme Challenge at Catton Hall Estate in South Derbyshire sponsored by Lichfield Health and Fitness Club attracted a large and enthusiastic crowd of mad runners all intent on enjoying the wet and windy winter conditions. The race was won by Adam Robinson in 49.36, a fast time over a newly designed and longer obstacle run course.

2nd home was Roben Hall in 50:17 with 3rd place going to Adam Carney in 50:17. First female home was Laura Appleby in 1:05:12 followed by Heidi Hunt in 1:05:49 with Nichola Jackson in 3rd place in 1:06:36. A full set of results can be seen below.

Results – Kingsbury Water Park 10k 29th Nov 2015

TAYLOR MADE FOR DAMION

A wet and windy late November Sunday saw a good size field take to the muddy tracks and pathways in Kingsbury Water Park in Warwickshire for a cross country 10k.

Damion Taylor (no142) defied the stormy conditions to race into an early lead which he kept adding to as he stretched his lead further to romp home in a fast time of 35:56. He was followed home by David Jackson (no143) in 38.46, with Barry Lloyd (no126) 3rd in 39.19.

The first female home was Laura Pettifer (no123) in 43.51, in 2nd was Jenny Lloyd (no127) in 48.39 and Kate Miller (no71) was 3rd in 49.31.
