The Florette Fradley 10K is a popular run and attracts around 1,000 entrants each year. Covering flat, country roads, its a great event for beginners and pros alike. The Fradley 10k has previously been nominated in the national Running Awards for the Best 10k Race in the UK.

A record turnout for today’s Florette Fradley 10k saw Charnwood AC’s James Douglas romp home from gun to tape in a time of 33:13 on a day when Spring really did make a welcome appearance and spectators lapped up the warm sunshine and cloudless sky. Southampton AC’s Matthew Missen was second home in 33:53 with local man from Cannock and Stafford AC Aaron Brown third in 34:30.
In the women’s race two athletes dominated with Jo Maddick from Kingston Upon Hull AC finishing overall 11th in 36:13 and second woman home Abigail Bagshaw from RAF Athletics Association 12th overall in 36:33 with Nicki Nealor from Huncote Harriers 3rd woman in 37:10.
